Wet moon and Venus over Boone Lake tonight.
That bright "star" just below the crescent isn't a star at all — it's Venus, the brightest planet in our solar system, hanging in the western sky right after sunset.
And that crescent? It's called a wet moon — when the horns point straight up like a bowl that could hold water. Old-timers said it meant rain was coming. We'll see.
